Who invented the conference call?

ip6000_large The conference call was invented by Bell Labs in 1956. It was introduced to the public by American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T) at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Bell Labs is a company founded by Alexander Graham Bell. He was born March 3, 1847 and died  August 2, 1922.
